| 21st Century Mosaics was established in 1996 by Paul Marks. His aim was to create mosaics using traditional methodologies, combined with a
modern philosophy. Since then he has become one of the leading figures working in this field. With a family background in the tiling industry, Paul has
a lifetime of experience with the medium. He studied fine art at the prestigious University of Arts London at Camberwell College, gaining both a
Batchelor of Arts Degree and a Masters Degree.
By its nature, mosaic is a very time consuming medium requiring a great deal of skill and dedication. Hundreds and often thousands of man hours are spent piecing together the individual cubes. Often more than 10,000 cubes are used for each square metre of work. We use only the highest quality materials available and ensure that each mosaic receives total commitment from the outset in the design and planning, through production and final installation. All design & fabrication is carried out in our London studio. We offer a truly individual service producing one-off commissions and bespoke designs for domestic, commercial and public projects in the UK and for international projects.
